Learning How to Play Pyramid Solitaire With Cards

You probably want to learn how to play pyramid Solitaire because you are interested in playing with cards and not with a deck of cards. If you have never tried playing with a deck of cards, it may seem a bit strange to put the cards on top of a card table. It is a good idea to know what you are doing at first, however.

The first step in learning how to play pyramid Solitaire is to have the basic deck of 52-cards. You can easily buy a pack of cards or an individual pack of cards that have the pyramid design on them for a fraction of the cost. All you need is a single English deck, commonly called the 52-Card Anglo-American deck. Some variations may use the same 52-Card deck as the traditional deck, but this is easily adapted by simply removing the ten missing cards.

You will also need a card table. There are many types to choose from that are suitable for playing pyramid Solitaire. Many of them are designed for playing the game with the players sitting opposite each other on either side of the table so that they have the same cards in front of them as the players at opposite ends of the table.

You should pick a card table that does not require you to fold the cards so that the entire card is revealed. Folded card tables make it more difficult to shuffle when you are trying to determine which cards go next, and they can make it harder to see the cards that are being shuffled. The folded cards may be easier to see if the shuffling gets out of hand, but you will not get the full effect of the shuffling, which can make things less fun for everyone if the shuffling gets out of control.

Pyramid Solitaire is played by the two players, each of them sitting opposite the other on opposite sides of the table, with the middle player in between, facing the middle player. The cards are arranged in a triangular shape around the middle player, forming a ring. The player on the left deals with each of the cards and deals the face up cards, while the right player deals the face down cards.

After everyone has dealt their cards, each of the players looks through the pyramid and chooses a card to play. Once the card has been dealt, that player goes through the deck looking for another card, then places the chosen card into the top of the pyramid, the one underneath, and the last card is dealt into the bottom of the pyramid and the game continues.
